UFC’s Cristaine ‘Cyborg’ Santos Stripped of Title and Suspended

Needless to say Cristiane Santos is not happy

Let’s get ready to Rumble! Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Santos, 26,  of the UFC’s women’s feather weight division will not be hearing that any time soon. The UFC commission suspended Santos because she tested positive for the anabolic steroid Stanazolol, aka Winstrol (AP sports).

Santos was stripped of her UFC featherweight title, won on Dec. 17 at the Strikeforce show in Valley View Casino, Sandiego. The UFC Commission overturned her Victory and stripped the title when they received the results on Dec 23 from the UCLA Anti-Doping Lab.

The Commission had this to say: “Our primary concern is for the health and safety of fighters,” CSAC Executive Officer George Dodd said in a press release sent out on Friday. “Anabolic agents and other banned substances put not only the users of those agents at risk, but their opponents as well. The commission simply will not tolerate their use.”

The World of Sports has been tough on Steroid use lately and who can blame them. There have been deaths and violence directly linked with the use of Steroids and other anabolic substances. You can read the Full UFC AP story
