Some Authors Go Deeper: Barbed-Wire Butterflies by Jessica Kristie

Barbed-Wire ButterfliesHuman Trafficking is a big problem the world over. Every day someone is kidnapped or shipped across the waters to end up a servant, unwilling worker, or worse on a distant shore. They never know anyone, they cannot count on anyone, and usually the worst part is they are afraid that if they say anything their lives will end. That is why when Authors like Jessica Kristie comes along we all have ti highlight the research and work they put into the works of art they produce. Barbed-Wire Butterflies is just that kind of work.

Jessica didn’t just write a Novel about Human Trafficking but is donating 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this book Published on Amazon to Courage Worldwide, an international non-profit organization that is building homes around the world for children rescued out of sex trafficking. Barbed-Wire Butterflies shows the atrocities children as young as 13 year old Elani Benjamin faces when they’re kidnapped and are required to do forced-Labor under abhorrent conditions. Can you imagine you or your child having to live through such a thing? The uncertainty of ever having to see home and family again. That is what these children and adults who are trafficked each day face.

I personally applaud Jessica for her work, for the time she took to write this masterpiece and sharing it with the world in order to dedicate it to a cause of this magnitude. She joins the ranks of many who are actively helping to combat human trafficking, adding another voice to those who are saying stop. Support not only this author, but the cause of fighting human trafficking by purchasing your copy of Barbed-wire Butterflies or gifting it to someone whom you know would enjoy benefiting from this book.

Ode to the Most powerful Being On Earth

With this Powerful force of Nature we wouldn’t be here. One of the Simplest and most amazing forms on the face of the Planet. She comes in Various shapes sizes and colors. Yet her job still remains the same; to bear the children of the world and to love them Unconditionally.

What makes her so powerful are the adversities she has had to face, even from her own children. There are those who would seek to mute her precious voice even knowing that she is the teacher of the world. Those who would use her for sport, knowing they came from her. And those careless ones who would end her life without considering their breath is because of her. While we celebrate all things we’ve made, we forget the thing that made us and limit her to one day as she grows and multiplies.

When the most Powerful being on Earth is silent for too long, the world falls apart. Only when she stands is the world walking in the right direction because her guidance and her ways are fundamentally perfect. They say a child’s word for God is Mother.

Yet we forget, when we sit down at a table with these powerful beings that we owe our lives, our respect, and our loyalty for the 9 months we were as close to her as we could be to anything else. For 9 months we are formed within her. And yet still she maintains her grace.

There are even those who belittle this powerful being. They say she’s worth less than they, yet they come from her. They say all manner of things in order to keep her power locked away and hidden from their site for fear of losing themselves. With one word she could dispel anything they can do to her, but she remains calm in order to preserve the illusion her children have built up.

This, the woman is the most powerful being on the face of the world. No man could do what she does daily, nor feel the pain she does. Even as she forgets herself and chases after the things that men do, she maintains her dignity, questioning until she gives in. The most powerful being on Earth is Necessary in the continuation of the world, and necessary in the conscience of the world since she is built with love and for peaceful solutions.

When she watches her corrupted siblings she weeps for the ones they touch and how they surrender to their corruption. Yet she maintains her balance and her beauty. The most powerful being on Earth are the women of the world. The same mothers who taught us all to be men and women, that in turn some of us can become more than just what we see.

When you pass one of these powerful creatures, remember the reverence owed – Even God has said it as a matter of speaking. “Mother is a child’s word for God.” What other being do you know that is more Powerful than God.

Recognizing The Dream and Living It: Black History Month with Alpha

We are here. The future the visionaries such.as Dr Martin Luther King, Malcolm x, Marcus Garvey, W.B. Dubois, Mrs Rosa Parks, and other Social Activist fought so hard to attain. We live in a time where possibilities are only inhibited by our fears and restrictive behaviors of oppressive behaviors, mainly only through our own fears. As Black History Month comes to a close I wanted to make sure I left my own thoughts on our living condition.

Black History month is not just about us as Black people, but about the struggles of the world to do the right things. Our ancestors fought hard to make sure we had opportunities, some died. Today as we go about our business remember to give thanks for the men and women who fought against oppression and inequality. The struggle unfortunately continues in some fronts.

What we need to remember is that we are our own people. We must decide our own fate and as we decide, those decisions should include the people around us. Black History Month should serve as a reminder that nothing can stop the advancement of the African American but ourselves. Black History Month should also teach us that we must never exclude other race groups from among us, no matter what we do.

The lessons of Black History Month I have provided are evidence that by working together we can achieve anything. As Malcolm X mentioned in his “A Person’s Deed” Q and A; there were white people celebrating with other Muslims at Mecca even though Muhammad had said there were none. So too must we recognize that we all live and share the same lands. But cultivating it together with our diverse cultures we can continue to build a great people. In Jamaica there is a saying; “Out of many, one people.” And that is that which we must become to succeed in our endeavor.

A unified people must rise across the globe consisting of many different shades of people. Only then when none are oppressed will we realize our full potential as a Human Race.

To the Black men and Women around the world. Recognize your own strength and continue to rise. We have been through much, we have lost much, we have suffered more and longer than ANY other people on Earth. But we are still standing, and as we stand we must recognize the kind of strength it takes to stand as we are now. We are in no wise a weak people. And as such we need to take careful steps in making sure we do not repeat what has been done to us as we continue to take our place in the world. More importantly, we must begin with a realization of self, and our capabilities.

Let us all use the lessons of Black History Month and the strength and weaknesses of all our ancestors of our diverse peoples to chart a course to a world where justice, equality, and peace are our ultimate goals.

Bless and Peace~ Alpha

Dare to Act And Protect your children's future

People! Are we the cause of our own suffering in and around the world? I recently had a conversation on Twitter with a man (an activist of sorts I think) who ended up blocking me because I stated that people in the hood needed to do better in order to rebuild “THE HOOD”. I think what made him block me was a statement that waiting on the government to do anything other than what they have been doing (help corporations succeed at our expense: Hoping they prove me wrong at some point) would be pointless. And yes, I got blocked and unfollowed after that. Was my statement too harsh? Don’t really know, what I do know is that I’ve watched people evicted from homes they owned so companies could develop the land (Given pennies on the dollar as settlement), I’ve seen “Hoods” turned into suburbs by developers and its inhabitants relocated (Indian reservations count too), I’ve seen impoverished neighborhoods with HIGH drug Problems o_O (Where’s the alarm), so I can’t tell you if I’m wrong. I just know that when we look at the evidence it doesn’t add up. How do poor people have such a high drug problem when drugs cost so much?

Let’s see, I was told “I was oversimplifying the issue but stating that people in the hood should do better.” Well I can’t disagree with the man. People in the hood do need to do better for themselves. How many people are strapped-for-cash yet run out to go buy the latest Jay-z CD, P diddy, or others when it comes out? I don’t know here, but when is the last time you heard about Jay-z opening a store in a poor neighborhood so you or your parents can get a job? There is also the aspect of waiting on the government to FIX the problem. Um, tell me I’m wrong for this if you want. How old is America, further, how old is the current social system? If we are talking about Thousands of years here and the government still hasn’t fixed a thing. If you’re still wondering, please STOP and RE-READ the first paragraph. In simple words; if you’re waiting on your government to come in and save the day you have a long wait. In case many have missed it. Most elected officials have corporate interests by way of lobby groups that help them get elected or they own corporations. Guess who they are in it for?

Still missed what I’m saying read this entire report

Not done yet read this too

This is a times report; another eye-opener

The point I am trying to prove here is that people all over the world are not the focus of Government. The Focus of government is lobby groups and their corporate interests. “We The People are left to chase after crumbs while the rewards are in favor of those who would turn us out of our homes. With this system in play how exactly does the hood or any other place expect to get money to fix their problems?

Solution

You are a community and it is time to start acting like it. We here in America have been a United Stated for more than 500 years now and it is time we began acting like it. A lesson from the Depression era in the early 1900s was that people pooled their resources in order to get things done. Why can’t it be done now? Since those who made it have all failed to return and give back (Of course they give a lot in words) why not stop supporting them and support your communities.Developing a neighborhood

English: The bronze Lenin is looking an as the...
Our Neighborhoods are our responsibility

business system of aid and recovery is one sure-fire way to go. That’s right, developing a system of people business. There are many who work, and giving one or two dollars a week per person could amount to more than you can imagine. Of course it is risky. Which is why you also need to develop practices and contracts between members. Lodges use these practices all the time. Why can’t neighborhoods and societies. We are the only ones concerned with our own interests and as such we need to operate separate from governments as government has been separate from us.

To elaborate; Corporations are left to operate free of Government interference. We are also left to operate free (More stringent because government says it has a right to govern us; does that make sense?) to an extent. We can and should operate within the confines of the law within our own interest. By developing Societal business entities we design and put together for the sole purpose of supporting our neighborhoods we can make sure schools get what they need, timely repairs are made, individuals do not have to suffer as much, and other needed transactions are taken care of. We would also need to ensure thatInsurance companies (BTW whom are blaming rate hikes on elected officials) keep their grubby little hands off of the funds (Which BTW should be untaxed because it is already taxed dollars at work ~our own money).

Point is we have choices that are not being explored, few elected Officials care enough to bat an eyelash, and worst yet we have failed to act on our own behalf. In fact right now the ones that are starting to act; occupy movement is under attack by Corporations through the police and other government bodies. Sorry but we don’t just need to speak up. We also need to put our own plan of action together no matter how small it may seem. So I guess I stand by the statements that got me blacklisted and unfollowed. WE NEED TO DO BETTER not wait on government to FIX our problems as we should be made aware that we are our only source of help. If you doubt

Watch the State of Obama’s State of the Union address if you missed it. (I Furkin LOVED IT)
